Terms And Conditions

Kimathi Student Centre is committed to enhance education by offering standard facilities.
We are committed to serve you better by providing rules and regulations that will govern the use of the centre and its facilities.


RULES AND REGULATIONS
The centre reserves the right of allocation.
A room is applied for one semester. At the end of the semester, one has to apply for another allocation.
Once allocated a room, no swooping.
No refund will be given after payment. Any overpaid amount will be carried over to the next semester.
Students shall be expected to share rooms. In addition to other common facilities eg. Bathrooms. Those
who refuse to share shall lose their residence for one semester.
Students shall be expected to sign an inventory form accepting responsibility of the condition of the room
on allocation.
Students should clear from the hostel by signing out with the management at the end of the semester. A student who fails to clear and leaves the room locked shall be charged Ksh. 2,500 to cover for opportunity costs. If the room will be broken into, to access the facility, any extra expenses incurred will be charged to the student.

 

SELLING AND BUYING OF ROOMS
Students involved in buying and selling of rooms shall be charged Ksh. 10,000 and shall be expelled from the room immediately.

 

USE OF FACILITIES IN THE ROOM
Misuse and destruction of property in the centre by a student/ group will constitute a serious offence.
The involved individual shall cater for damages.
Students will be responsible for security of property by locking the rooms.
Cooking is not allowed in the rooms. Heavy penalties shall be imposed in the event of violation.
It is illegal to move furniture or any other property from one room to another.
Do not hold demonstrations in the centre.
Drunkedness, unruly and rowdy behaviour within the centre is prohibited.
Drinking in rooms of residence is an offence.
Drug abuse shall lead to expulsion.
Threats, incitement and fights are prohibited.

 

VISITORS TO THE ROOMS AND COHABITING
Male visitors will be permitted to the ladies hostels between 10.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m.
Visitors must not be accommodated in the rooms overnight. Failure to obey will lead to a Ksh. 2,000 per night charge.
Cohabiting is unethical and is prohibited.

 

THEFT CASES
Any cases of suspected theft or vandalism shall be thoroughly investigated and anyone found culpable shall face full disciplinary action including expulsion from our facility and shall be mandatory to meet the cost of damages.
All cases will be dealt with according to the rules and regulations.

To provide information to affiliates of the firm and non affiliated third parties who perform services
or functions for us in conjunction with our services to you.
Employees of the centre who need such information to conclude a transaction for which a client has engaged the centre.
